At Blue Guardian Electronics Recycling, our mission is simple: provide secure, responsible, and sustainable electronics recycling that schools and businesses can trust.
Each year, thousands of laptops, Chromebooks, desktops, tablets, and other devices reach end-of-life. Too often, those items sit in storage rooms for years—or worse, end up disposed of improperly.
That’s why we created our Recycling Recovery Payment Program: a way to encourage responsible recycling while helping organizations recover additional value when applicable.
A Recycling Recovery Payment is a return payment issued to your organization when certain devices contain recoverable value beyond standard recycling commodities after evaluation and processing.
Some equipment may contain higher recoverable value depending on:
When that happens, Blue Guardian issues a Recovery Payment back to your organization after processing.
We offer Recycling Recovery Payments for one reason:
Many organizations want to recycle—but tight budgets and limited time can make it easy for outdated equipment to pile up. This program helps create an incentive to clean out storage areas and recycle equipment sooner.
All pickups scheduled on or after March 1st, 2026 will qualify for evaluation under our updated Recycling Recovery Payment Program.
Blue Guardian doesn’t just recycle “e-waste.” We recycle as much material as possible from every pickup, including:
Our goal is to minimize landfill impact while maximizing responsible downstream recycling.
Even with strong policies, accidents can happen—and a single missed drive can lead to a serious data breach.
That’s why:
This significantly reduces the risk of sensitive information being exposed or re-entering circulation.
Blue Guardian is led by a team with deep experience in both recycling operations and K-12 technology.
Dillon has over 20 years of experience in the recycling industry and understands what it takes to run safe, efficient pickups and processing operations.
Eddie spent 17 years working directly in K-12 education and another 5 years supporting K-12 environments. He also holds the CoSN CETL certification and has a strong background in cybersecurity.
This experience allows Blue Guardian to better serve schools with processes that are practical, secure, and efficient.
Spring break is one of the best times for schools to clean out storage rooms, refresh carts, and remove outdated technology.
If you’re planning:
…this is the perfect time to schedule a pickup.
